Haotong is a Designer with a passion for interior design, sustainable architectural design, and visualization. She received an M.S. from Columbia GSAPP in 2022 and her B.Arch with outstanding graduate honors from Shenzhen University in 2020. Her collaborative design work Possibility Makers for the GSAPP Fall 2021 Studio Un-Detailing, which focused on the power of architectural details and used it a as an opportunity to grow political alternatives, was exhibited at the 2022 SZ-HK Urbanism\Architecture Bi-City Biennale. 

During her professional experience, she has worked on several projects at different scales ranging from small-scale interior residential renovation, educational buildings, and museums to large-scale office campus design. Before moving to New York, Haotong worked as an Architectural Designer in Shenzhen, where she participated in several architectural design competitions. Her first professional project, Shekou Theatre renovation, an adaptive reuse project to transform a theatre into a community center, won first place in the competition.
